Looking at a few changes: BoB, and GBC, massive as they were, got killed, and (now) are making an attempt to reclaim their old space.
Triumvirate held a large amount of space at one time. Hydra being killed (thank god) MH being strong, Red Alliance being massive and ED/IRC being int he drone regions, Solar having somewhat of a presence.
These alliances were once a formidable force (save for Hydra), but now are hurt, with lack of members, MH space is being over-run. TCF are still there, but having troubles. ED not anywhere to be seen. CO2 have no space, Tri have no space, Init moved, and so on so forth.
It’s just an ever-changing world in EVE, and if your alliance doesn’t keep up participation in PvP, your space will be up for grabs. You need to carebear sometimes, but if you do it for so long, you may not be able to hold the space you once did. Carebear at times, but keep the PvP going to stay sharp, frosty and in the news, so people will be scared of you.
